Stocks discussed in the lightning round session of Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV program, Thursday, October 23.

Bullish Calls:

Duke (DUK) -- “I like Duke better than General Motors. You need a company with a high yield.”
Eaton (ETN) -- “I like Eaton better than General Motors. You need a company with a high yield.”
Qualcom (QCOM) -- “The stock is down 20 straight points. Why do I need Broadcom?”
Apple (AAPL) -- “Apple had a great quarter and so did Google (GOOG). If they can't rally, who can?"

Bearish Calls:

Netflix (NFLX) -- "I like Netflix as a stay-at-home play, but I wouldn't want to own it for myself. Don’t Buy."
General Motors (GM) -- "I think that's too speculative. I think you need to be in a company that has a high yield, like Duke Energy or Eaton."
Ambac Financial Group (ABK) -- "Oh boy. This is a $2 stock that I'm not going to get behind. These companies that insure financial instruments just can't be bought."
Broadcom (BRCM) -- "Why do I need this one when I can buy Qualcomm that's down 20 straight points?"
Amylin Pharmaceuticals (AMLN) -- “Oh, way too speculative. No thank you. I've got biotechs of incredible quality delivering great numbers and going nowhere.”
Mosaic (MOS) --
“The fertilizer play is over. The farmers are in trouble. We can't go there.”
Amazon.com (AMZN) --
“I wasn't happy with their guidance. I won't recommend a sale of it since it's got a great business model. But I can't recommend a buy.”
