Stocks discussed in the lightning round session of Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV program, Thursday, October 23.
Altria (NYSE:MO) -- “I'm a buyer of this one. It might be the only buy in this whole lightning round. I am bullish on this stock for two reasons – people don’t stop smoking just because of a recession and the dividend yield is great.”
Kroger (NYSE:KR) -- “Kroger’s a better supermarket stock. It has better margins and is a better company.”
Supervalu (NYSE:SVU) -- “No, no. If we're recommending a supermarket, we're going with Kroger.”
Western Digital (NASDAQ:WDC) -- “Western Digital is selling at 5 times earnings. But in this market 5 times earnings can easily become 4 times earnings, so at $12 a share, then we'll get excited."
Lincoln National (NYSE:LNC) -- "A government guarantee of insurance annuities would really help Lincoln. If that doesn’t happen, investors probably want to steer clear of this stock."
Consol Energy (NYSE:CNX) -- "This stock is so knocked down it is incredible. If you think McCain is going to win, then these coal stocks are a buy, but if you’re leaning Obama stay away."
