Foot Locker (FL) Stores Have the Brands Covered but Most Teens Only Buy Nike (NKE)

TickerMine surveyed 26 retail locations of Foot Locker this week. This was after analysts said its stock had fallen too far and might be worth buying. We asked respondents which is the most popular teenage brand, which brand, that they don't currently stock, is most frequently requested by customers, how has business been over the last three weeks, are sale items up, and how much does the average customer spend?

We discovered that Nike remains most popular with teens according to 88% of those interviewed. 12% cited Adidas. 19% say that their customers don't want anything that they don't currently stock while 15% mentioned that customers would like to see them carry Puma. 46% say that customer traffic is the same these past few weeks. 38% say it is up and only 15% say it is down. 65% say there are more items on sale and 35% say there are less sale items than before. Finally, the average customer spends about $98.04 at these stores.

North Face (VFC) Gear & Equipment in Good Supply This Season

TickerMine researched The North Face, the premier supplier of outdoor apparel, equipment and footwear, this week. We asked respondents at 28 locations across the United States what piece of North Face gear is the most popular, do they have sufficient stock for the upcoming season, can they get more if needed, and are they expecting new gear this season, and if so, what?

We learned that 57% of those polled cited jackets as the hottest selling item (The Apex Bionic Jacket and the Men's Realization Jacket were among those mentioned). Backpacks were cited by 7% of those polled, and 4% mentioned that vests sold well. All of the respondents interviewed said they were sufficiently stocked of these items and that they could get more if needed. And while 50% said they weren't expecting anything new this season, another 50% said they were (the winter line and new backpacks were cited).
