S&P 500 Index: Terex Off, J.M. Smucker Co., On

Last week, Standard & Poor's announced it would be adding J.M. Smucker Co. (SJM) to the S&P 500 Index after the close of trading on Wednesday November 5, 2008. SJM is acquiring the Folgers coffee business from Procter & Gamble (PG) effective midnight November 5, 2008. Smuckers will replace Terex (TEX) in the Index.
