Sinovac Listed in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 China 2008

Sinovac Biotech Ltd. (SVA) said its main operating entity, Sinovac Beijing, was named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 China 2008. A vaccine maker, Sinovac’s revenues derive mainly from its hepatitis A vaccine, Healive. The company also makes a combination hepatitis A & B vaccine, a flu vaccine and an avian flu vaccine.

Sinovac said it was put on the list because of its 290% growth rate over the past three years.

Of the 50 companies on the list, six (12%) were pharmaceutical or biotech companies. Last year, just four biopharma companies were members of the Fast 50 China. At ChinaBio Today, we reported earlier that Sundia MediTech, a CRO, was also included. All companies on the Fast 50 China list are automatically eligible for Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 Asia competition.
