WebSideStory announced the acquisition of Atomz, a provider of site search and content management, on Feb 8th. Rafat at PaidContent suggests why Atomz sold out:

At one time, Atomz was one of the favorite SMB [small and medium business] web search ASP [application service provider] (I used it too for paidContent.org, before I switched to Google), but it has struggled over the years in getting customers to pay up. It tried to diversify with another SMB product: CMS [content management system], but again, competing on the lower end against open-source CMS systems and on the higher end against bigger CMS companies was getting tough.
