During the week of December 10th two Dividend Aristocrats will go Ex-Dividend. They are Automatic Data Processing (ADP) and T Rowe Price Group Inc. (TROW).

ADP provides outsourcing solutions. I am sure that most of us are aware of their outsourced payroll solution for businesses as well as the ADP Payroll report that is a leading economic indicator for employment. This company also offers a full range of HR outsourcing as well as traditional and web-based outsourcing solutions to employers in the U.S., Canada, Europe, South America, Australia, and Asia.

This company operates in three divisions: Employer Services, Professional Employer Organization Services, and Dealer Services. Employer Services offers employment administration services to retail and merchandise firms including payroll, payroll tax filing, 401K administration, and other fringe benefits administration. The Professional Employer Organization Services division provides similar features, but focuses on professional services firms. The Dealer Services division offers integrated inventory management as well as sales and relationship management services systems for the auto, truck, marine, recreational vehicles and heavy equipment dealers throughout the world.

As of the close of trading Friday, ADP was trading at $57.31 a share and was paying a 3.00% dividend annually. In 2000, ADP was paying a $0.0875 dividend quarterly. Today it is paying a $0.395 dividend annually.
