Stocks discussed in the lightning round session of Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV program, Wednesday November 19.

Bullish Calls:

Silver Wheaton (SLW): “That’s an interesting spec I’m not going against that…silver is so low…precious metals are coming back but not right away.”

BP (BP), Chevron (CVX)

Marathon Oil (MRO): “I like MRO why because they are splitting into two companies and it’s got a dividend…”

Continental Resources (CLR):  “Very cheap natural gas and oil play. I am only recommending oils that have dividends. I gotta go with BP or Chevron because they both have good yields.”

Valero (VLO): “Dirt cheap that means absolutely nothing…I like MRO.”

Suburban Propane (SPH): “I have said over and over agin that this one is good. But here goes the broken record again…Kinder Morgan is better than Suburban.”

 Kinder Morgan (KMP), Nucor (NUE)

Energy Transfer Partners (ETP): “The stock has come down…you’ve got a definite winner, the son of Kinder Morgan. It is really really good.”

Bearish Calls:

Continental Resources (CLR):  “Very cheap natural gas and oil play. I am only recommending oils that have dividends. I gotta go with BP or Chevron because they both have good yields.”

Valero (VLO): “Dirt cheap that means absolutely nothing…I like MRO.”

Kaydon (KDN): “It doesn’t have a good enough yield, it is not inexpensive versus its growth rate… that  is too hard for me. I don’t have a reason to pull the trigger.”

Limited (LTD): “I no longer trust retailers with big dividends because retail is so bad, if I were a retailer I’d cut the dividend. I’d say sell sell sell.”

AK Steel (AKS): “I think AKS is not as good as Nucor.”

Jim: You have stated many times that dividends are a key in picking worthwhile stocks. Currently I have a large position in JPM. It pays a good dividend that within a short time will no doubt be cut. If this happens, will the stock be a capital gain play or a dud ? Bill, Midland, Tx.
