Seems like reasonable approach to me. No change =no money. Very consistent with his previous statements. The govt and Big 3 all need to change.

Umm... maybe you forgot... he isn't writing checks to anybody yet. He doesn't take office until Jan. 20.

From the Detroit testimony, do you think that they really don't know how much a real plan would call for, and when their cash will run out? Of course they do. But the number is much bigger than would be acceptable, and Pelosi/Reid led themn to believe that money was available without a plan, pain, or taking on the UAW. For the optimists, this is the first good sign (other than personnel selections) that Obama really will have some backbone.

It is not the politicians you are bailing out or the men in the private jets, it is your neighbor, look at what other countries are doing for the auto manufacturers! The question that should have been asked at congress is who drove in an american car that day!
