Best and Worst Performing Russell 1,000 Stocks Since Thursday

Over the last two trading days, the Dow has gained 11.8%. This is the first time the Dow has had a two-day rally of more than 10% since 1987, and just the 13th time it has happened since 1896. Below we highlight the 25 best performing stocks in the Russell 1,000 (>$5/share) over the last two trading days, along with stocks in the index that have declined.
As shown, Duke Realty (DRE) has had the biggest gain at 63.55%, followed by Patriot Coal (PCX) at 59.7%, AmeriCredit (ACF) at 55%, and Forest City Enterprises (FCE.A) at 53%. Other notables on the list of winners include Morgan Stanley (MS) (45%), Merrill Lynch (MER) (45%), National Oilwell Varco (NOV) (41%), and MetLife (MET) (40%).
Just 23 stocks in the Russell 1,000 trading greater than $5/share are down over the last two trading days. Foot Locker (FL) is down the most at -26%, followed by Ashland (ASH), Interval Leisure Group (IILG), and Liberty Media (LMDIA). Notables on the list of losers also include Campbell Soup (CPB), Autodesk (ADSK), and Google (GOOG).
