While the S&P 500 is up 15% in the last four trading days, the average stock in the index is up an even more impressive 21.07%. However, to illustrate how fast and far the market fell leading up to Thursday's low, we would note that the average stock in the index is still 16.9% below its 50-day moving average. This means that the average stock still needs to rally by more than 20% just to reach that level.

Below we highlight the fifteen best and worst performing S&P 500 stocks since last Thursday. As shown, only thirteen stocks are actually down over the period. Campbell Soup (CPB), which had been a safe haven, has been the worst performer with a decline 11.6%.

On the upside, Lincoln National (LNC) has been the best performer and the only triple digit winner, but even after this gain, it is still 59% below its 50-day moving average, which means it still has to double again to even get near its 50-day.
