About this author:

According to the U.S. Weekly Leading Index (US WLI) released on 11/26/08 published by Economic Cycle Research Institute (ECRI), the economy is still worsening. Lakshman Achuthan of ECRI states:

With the drivers of the business cycle still in a tail-spin WLI growth has fallen to another historical low, indicating that there is no economic recovery in sight.

The US WLI has a slight lead over business cycles.

As a leading indicator, the WLI is demonstrating that economic conditions in the future are going to be worse than they are today.

You have been doing an excellent job of reporting on ECRI. Would you consider doing a monthly review article of ECRI and related news on SA? I, for one, would find this very valuable.

I have added you to my watch list.
