I guess one of the reasons Nortel (NT) is starting to do a marketing push for its VoIP technology is that it’s something customers are buying.

The latest example is Italy’s TWT, which picked Nortel to implement IP-powered business services and international VoIP service for businesses, voice service resellers and international wholesale customers.

The technology being sold to Milan-based TWT is based on Nortel’s Communication Server 2000 IP multimedia soft switch, which enables SIP-based interconnection for end users and the ability to manage high amounts of traffic. The switch will also help TWT reduce operating costs and improve the profitability of its wholesale business.

Nortel said it has attracted more than 70 new carrier VoIP customers this year, and it now has more than 320 carrier VoIP customers globally.

You better not to republish already known news, but to add some value to it. Revenue, Profit, Margin, Expected grow in this sector, expected margin, ect.

What is the point to publish second hand news?
