China Sky One Medical (CSKI) said that its newly acquired subsidiary, Peng Lai Jin Chuang Pharmaceutical Company, received approval from the SFDA to begin producing two new drugs.
Tinea Liniment is a TCM that treats athlete's foot (tinea pedis), hand ringworm (tinea manus), jock itch (tinea cruris) and fungal skin infection (tinea versicolor). Although treatments for these fungal infections abound, new outbreaks occur frequently. China Sky One claims that Tinea Liniment produced lower recurrence than most of the competing treatments.
Skincare Cream is a traditional Chinese medicine intended for the treatment of skin diseases such as acne, bottle nose, chromophytosis and vitiligo. China Sky One said that relatively few similar TCM products are marketed currently.
Usually, when China Sky One receives approval for a new product, the company estimates a revenue target for the coming year, but it did not supply a revenue forecast for these two products.
Recently, ChinaBio Today published a review of China Sky One’s growth, emphasizing its ability to increase its portfolio of marketed products through a combination of adroit M&A and internal development (see story). Tuesday’s announcement is one more example of the company’s dynamic growth.
