Cramer's Lightning Round - Every Coal Play Has Its Day (1/8/13)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Tuesday January 8.

Bullish Calls:

Alpha Natural Resources (ANR): "I've been against coal, but every dog has its day. That stock could go up 10% before I'd sell it."

Lumber Liquidators (NYSE:LL), Home Depot (NYSE:HD): "I like Lumber Liquidators and I like Home Depot."

Invesco Mortgage Capital (NYSE:IVR), Annaly Capital (NYSE:NLY): "These are coming back. These are plays on the yield curve. I like IVR. I like Annaly better than I have in a while because of the change in the yield curve because of loan demand."

Bearish Calls:

Exelon (NYSE:EXC): "They don't care about the dividend ... I own utilities for dividends. These guys aren't giving it to me. That means sell, sell, sell."

Lowe's (NYSE:LOW): "I don't need to be in Lowe's."

Questcor (QCOR): "There are guys who think QCOR's drug is not worth the paper it is printed on. This thing is a battleground ... This is a hard group. That was a spec, and I didn't nail it. I made a mistake."
