Cramer's Lightning Round - A REIT That Is Standing The Test Of Time (1/14/13)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Monday January 14.

Bullish Calls:

Public Storage (NYSE:PSA): "That is a REIT that is standing the test of time, especially with baby boomers retiring. People are looking for storage as they go into smaller houses. It's a downsizing situation."

Limited Brands (LTD): "LTD is oversold. I think it is a Buy. It is going to have a good quarter."

The Blackstone Group (NYSE:BX), KKR Financial Holdings (KFN): "I like Blackstone (better than Fortress). I also like KFN. We know what KFN owns."

Trinity Industries (NYSE:TRN): "You've got to buy the stock, because they are making railroad cars, and that includes oil tankers, which are in tremendous demand."

HollyFrontier (NYSE:HFC): "I like it here, given the low prices of oil in this country."

GNC Holdings (NYSE:GNC): "I like it very much. It is in the sweet spot and doing well. I want to own it."

BioScrip (NASDAQ:BIOS): "I think you are okay. I think you should stick with that stock."

New York Community Bancorp (NYSE:NYCB): "I was very worried about this company, because it seemed to have an outsized yield, and seemed to be a red flag. Now I think regional banks are doing fine, thank you very much, and I like it."

Nomura Holdings (NYSE:NMR), iShares MSCI Japan Index (NYSEARCA:EWJ): "All of those Japan plays are moving up, and I'm not fighting it. I've been buying the EWJ. The EWJ represents the full panoply of Japan."

Bearish Calls:

Fortress Investment Group (NYSE:FIG): "Be careful. We don't know what FIG owns."

Resolute Energy (NYSE:REN): "I've been looking at a lot of oil and gas companies, and I think oil might still be shaded down, which is why I favor stocks with yield in that sector. REN doesn't have yield."
