On December 5th swaps outstanding were worth $582 bn, a huge increase from the previous week ($506 bn).
On December 12th swaps outstanding were worth $566 bn.
Maturities previously all under 1-month were extended to up to 3-months for $305 bn.
Note: $ number is mtm value of the short foreign exchange positions under reciprocal currency arrangements with certain foreign central banks, swaps show up on the H.4.1 under “Other Federal Reserve assets” with the assets from the ESF.
