Cramer's Lightning Round - I'm No Longer Fighting American Capital Agency (1/15/13)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Tuesday January 15.

Bullish Calls:

American Capital Agency (NASDAQ:AGNC): "I used to fight this tooth and nail, because the dividend was a red flag. I now believe it can handle this yield. The dividend might not always stay this high, but I would buy it."

Prospect Capital (NASDAQ:PSEC): "It's a mezzanine lender. I think the economy is stronger than people think. That is a good situation."

Kelly Services (NASDAQ:KELYA): "I think it is going to be more advantageous for companies to use Kelly than to actually hire people full-time."

Express Scripts (NASDAQ:ESRX), Medco Health Solutions (NYSE:MHS), CVS Caremark (NYSE:CVS): (when asked about the merger between ESRX and MHS) "My take is that it is okay to buy these, but there are other players that are even better. I like CVS Caremark."

Bearish Calls:

Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT): "I think it is too high, and I think the earnings are not going to be there. The stock is a better buy under $90. I would not buy it here. My charitable trust sold it to lock in the gain."

FirstEnergy (NYSE:FE): "Everyone says this is the next one that is going lower. I'm going to say 'don't buy.' The yield is good, but the utilities are in the doghouse because the economy is getting better."
