China Sky One Medical, Inc. (CSKI) said its subsidiary, Heilongjiang Tianlong Pharmaceutical, received SFDA production approval for four newly developed drugs. These additions bring the company’s totals to eight new products in the last three weeks and 19 so far this year.

The latest additions are:

  • Dithranol ointment – a treatment for different types of psoriasis, such as plaque psoriasis, guttate psoriasis and hypertrophy psoriasis;
  • Antipruritic tincture – a treatment for itchy skin and inflammation; can also be used for infection and bruises;
  • Antiasthma cream – a treatment for cough, asthma and chronic bronchitis; and
  • Levofloxacin Lactate injection – a treatment for moderate to severe infections of the respiratory system, urinary system, and digestive system infections, as well as soft skin tissue infections. It can also treat septicemia, urethritis, and cervicitis.

In making the new product announcements, Mr. Yan-Qing Liu, Chairman and CEO of China Sky One Medical, said the new drugs came at an opportune time, because they address diseases common in rural China. The government plans to increase subsidies for rural medical insurance, and China Sky One is building up its rural sales force.

The new drugs will be launched in Q2. China Sky One said it would provide sales estimates “shortly.”
