Stocks discussed in the lightning round session of Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV program, Wednesday January 14.
Bullish Calls:
Joy Global (JOYG): “I think it’s dirt cheap. I prefer to buy it at a 4% yield under $20…let’s wait till the stock comes down…”
Wal-Mart (WMT): "The only retail I’m recommending in this whole great nation is Wal-Mart…I will not buy another retailer.”
Bebe (BEBE): “Bebe is a trading stock..I liked it at $5…we’ll buy it again. Remember, retail is just a trade except for Wal-Mart.”
Bearish Calls:
Spartan Stores (SPTN): “No, the only retail I’m recommending in this whole great nation is Wal-Mart…I will not buy another retailer.”
Norfolk Southern (NSC), CSX (CSX): "No, I'm not recommending any of the rails. Even though they're at their lows, they're too levered to commodities and autos."
Procter & Gamble (PG): “I think it’s going to have just a so-so quarter…I think it is a second half of 2009 story…I would be very careful after their report. I think this stock could go to $55.”
Manitowoc (MTW): “No. This is a crane play and there are too many Cranes. I’m not the least bit interested in buying MTW. Sell, sell, sell.”
Halliburton (HAL): "I think HAL is a sale. I think natural gas is going to $4, maybe $3. That means HAL is going to have things really bad.
Delta Airlines (DAL): “Listen, I never recommend an airline stock on this show…Delta might be the only airline to really have a good balance sheet…if someone put a gun to my head, I’d say buy Delta…but don’t buy, don’t buy.”

With the BDI moving up, the commodities should follow including gold, coal, iron ore, and fertilizer. Just one way to play with a solid dividend.
Like the dry bulk shippers as well, but it's becoming less and less of a dividend play and more geared toward the survival of the fittest. Interesting for the long term, but tough to decipher in here.
JOYG is an easier play ---- unless you prefer BUCY.
