Stocks discussed on the lightning round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Wednesday January 28.
Bullish Calls:
Goldman Sachs (GS): “Of all the companies that took TARP, this is the most likely to pay it off. I think they are having a great quarter. This is not a bank that needs a bad bank. They don’t have any bad assets..I say you are fine. If you have some, let it go higher.”
Research in Motion (RIMM), Apple (AAPL): “RIMM is breaking out…sales from Verizon alone are incredible…I am giving you a twofer…I think Research and Motion and Apple are buys.”
Caterpillar (CAT): “Very worried about the quarter…I thought the quarter was bad…But I like the accidental high yield in Caterpillar. I want to stay with it.”
Bearish Calls:
GeoEye (GEOY): “We used to like this company…I now regard it in this market as being too secular…don’t buy, don’t buy.”
CSX (CSX), Norfolk Southern (NSC): “No I cannot embrace CSX as much as I’d like to because it doesn’t have the yield that I want. I don’t think we are in a position to buy the rails I want to sell sell sell sell.”
