Schering-Plough (SGP): Wednesday's buyup of a million shares in this company gives hope for growth in defensive stocks. General Mills (GIS) also enjoyed a large purchase recently.
EMC (EMC): EMC reiterated its earning guidance on Wednesday, and Cramer includes it along with Sun (SUN), Intel (INTC), and Dell (DELL) as a group of "really horrible stocks." Cramer blames the general market slump on Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's "inability to rein in his Fed governors," and that the Fed seems to be discouraging growth at every turn.
AU Optronics (AUO): Cramer notes that lowered guidance at AUO means trouble for Corning (GLW).
Citigroup (C), Wells Fargo (WFC), Bank of America (BAC), and PepsiCo (PEP): Cramer praises these companies for staying strong by buying up stock during down times.
