Advanced Micro Devices (AMD): 'I think that AMD will be substantially higher a year from now. Although I'm only going to give it one thumb up, way up.'
Openwave Systems (OPWV): ' ... Peter Schmidt runs the company. He turned around Inktomi. He got them sold, and made a lot of money ... I think that OPWV is done going down.'
Comerica (CMA)
ConocoPhillips (COP): 'COP is dirt cheap.'
Chevron (CVX)
TXU Corp (TXU)
General Motors (GM): 'I think GM, at $25, is a good stock.'
PetMed Express (PETS): 'This is a stock at $13. It has a long-term growth of 30%.'
Consolidated Edison (ED): 'I like it. 4% yield. I have to tell you, when it comes to safety, I'm looking at the ED - that yields 5%.'
VF (VFC): Just boosted its dividend; got a 3% yield. The only textile at its 52-week high.'
Comcast (CMCSA): 'They had ... one of those quarters that changed the equation because they have finally gotten behind the triple play: voice, data, video. They did not have voice - they have it now ... I think CMCSA, even as high as $33, is still a buy. And I salute Brian Roberts for turning that thing around.'
Akamai Technologies (AKAM): ' ... not down enough versus others. But, that said, the fundamentals are good ... A stock that's only 20% from its high in technology, you've got to give it berth. If you buy a little here, you've got to wait until it goes to $28 to buy any more. But then you can stick with it!'
