Sunoco (NYSE:SUN) is expected to report Q4 earnings Wednesday, February 4 after the market close, with a conference call scheduled for Thursday, February 5 at 3:00 pm ET.
Analysts are looking for EPS of $2.15 on revenue of $12.46B. There is a tight consensus range of $1.55-$2.71 for EPS, and $12.0B-$12.92B for revenue, according to First Call.
Sunoco reported Q3 results in November, outperforming expectations on both EPS and revenue. Sunoco's stock is up almost 15% since that point. Recent analyst opinion on the stock, however, has not been favorable. In late January, Credit Suisse downgraded Sunoco to Underperform from Neutral, with a price target of $33, and Barclays recommended selling refiners into strength, viewing the rally as a short opportunity. On February 2, Caris increased its Q4 EPS estimate on Sunoco to $2.28 from $1.55, but maintained its Below Average rating based on valuation.
