Final List of Earnings Season Winners and Losers

Now that the unofficial earnings season has ended, we take a final look at the stocks that made out the best and worst following their earnings reports. There were 26 stocks that had one-day gains of 20% or more on the first trading day following their earnings reports.

As shown, SWKS was the biggest winner with a gain of 34.86%, followed closely by VPRT and BWLD. Other notables on the list include WFC (whose gains didn't last long), DHI, CSTR, and BK.

State Street (STT) was the biggest earnings season loser with a decline of 59%, followed by NSIT, CNH, and PCAR. There were a total of 39 stocks that went down 20% or more in response to earnings reports, but the average one-day change for all stocks (>$5) this earnings season was +0.35%. Not bad for such a bad market.
