Verizon (VZ): "Stick with stocks like Verizon, that are conservative and have a good yield."
VirnetX (VHC): "It is a very speculative play on patents. It has an ongoing lawsuit with Apple. You can play it with calls. It does have a lot of upside if it hits the jackpot."
Linn Energy (LNCO): "You can't own MLPs without running the risk of a tax. That is why you can own LNCO. I think you should own it."
BioMarin (BMRN): "That is fabulous. That is my speculative play in that group. That is my favorite."
Bank of America (BAC): "Is kind of a classic. Everyone is panicking out of these stocks. I think BAC is worth buying. I like BAC very much."
Bearish Calls:
Frontier (FTR): "Don't mention Frontier in the same sentence with Verizon."
Vonage (VG): "I'm not going to mess with little guys like this one. I'll send you to Verizon."
CenturyLink (CTL): "They cut the dividend. I don't know how much more they can do now."
Permian Basin Royalty Trust (PBT): "These have been cutting their yields. Why should we be in a yield cutter when we can be in a yield booster?"
Molycorp (MCP): "I don't know if this company ever had a pulse. I've been against this stock since time immemorial. I need a reason to buy it other than the fact it is heavily shorted."
