After weeks of waiting, it was announced on Friday that Nicemac’s uSirius iPhone application has been delayed for the time being. Several things came to mind as I read the latest news updates. It seems to me that if there was a problem with the technology of some sort, Apple (AAPL) would have denied the application outright. With age comes wisdom, and I am getting that feeling of deja vu. The delay that was mentioned in the press release reeks of attorney wranglings.
As fans, we are committed to continuing to work with all parties involved as necessary in any capacity required to see this product to market. It is our goal, as it has always been, to release this application at as low of a price point as possible, if not free of charge.
Years ago, there was a Yahoo (YHOO) message board poster named Tulane Jeff, who went on to create the mother of all Sirius (SIRI) fan websites, SiriusBackstage.com. It wasn’t long until Sirius issued Jeff a court order to cease and desist and the idea created by Jeff stalled. Luckily for all of us, the two sides came to an agreement of some sort, and Sirius Backstage grew to be the biggest Satellite radio fan site on the web.
It would not surprise me to learn that Sirius XM has now decided, after years of doing absolutely nothing with Apple no matter how loud their customers screamed, that they have decided they want in on the application that they did absolutely nothing to help produce. If this is in fact the case, and keep in mind this is purely speculative, I would expect a deal with Sirius XM, Nicemac, and Apple. Sirius has sought a partnership of sorts with Apple for many years and the company may see this new application as its proverbial foot in the door.
Position: Long Sirius XM

Does the author know something that we don't? Or is he just spouting off?
"Sirius is now officially on the iPhone"
Really? That seems different than anything I have read.
Well, I own an iPhone an love the device. I do not currently have any subscriptions to SiriusXM but I will absolutely sign up for the internet feed when an application comes out on the iPhone. I have been listening to Pandora and Slacker and they are ok but I find that I hear the same songs after a little while.
I am looking forward to this week :)

I need some .357 and have not purchased that yet. I hope to store up at least 6-8 months of food over the next 12 months. More if I can afford it.
My retirement plan has been devastated. It is now down about 70%. I was a defense contractor, and it was all in ESOP stock with Northrup. Maybe it will comeback when Iran tests their nuke.
My country is being systematically destroyed by the libs, and sooner or later, the sheeple will realize what happened to them. When they do, it won't be pretty.
Nope.......I was not kidding when I mentioned this a while back.

I am sure that you are a cool dude and all that, but your politics are wrong.
Having said that, I agree with you on that last point about the man.....LOL!
Looks like they set up a chat room. I suppose I will go check it out.
Seems a reasonable compromise.
