Amazon (AMZN) has been a great long-term investment but equally profitable have been the downside to names that have been steamrolled by Amazon's massive investments and scale. Names such as Barnes & Noble (BKS), Borders (bankrupt), Best Buy (BBY) to name a few have all been hurt to various degrees by the low-cost, hyper-competitive Amazon. I am not highlighting another retailer to be undercut by Amazon, but rather the data warehousing space and poster child Teradata (TDC).
