In continuing my search for value investments in the oil and gas industry, I have broadened my search from being focused exclusively on South America to now considering globally diversified exploration and production companies. One company that recently attracted my interest is Anadarko Petroleum (APC), a large cap independent oil and gas explorer and producer, with a globally diverse range of operations. As this article will demonstrate, the company has consistently been able to execute its production and exploration operations, delivering value for shareholders. I also believe that the company is currently unfairly valued by the market and as I will clearly demonstrate, there is around 15% potential upside for investors.
