Below is a look at the recent performance of key ETFs across all asset classes. As you can see, the U.S. has dominated the rest of the world in terms of equity market performance in 2013. The major U.S. index ETFs are all up roughly 10% year to date, while nearly all of the country ETFs shown are now down on the year.
Italy (EWI) is down the most of any ETF, shown with a decline of 12.90%. Natural gas (UNG) is up the most with a gain of 17.72%. And don't look now, but fixed-income ETFs are creeping back toward positive territory for the year as well. AGG is now down just 0.33% YTD, while IEF is actually up 0.07% as of this afternoon.
