About this author:

I was running some scans and education stocks jumped out at me as looking particularly weak, despite their last few days of gains. Let’s look at Corinthian Colleges (COCO), but you can look at any other stock in this sector (Apollo Group (APOL), Career Education Co. (CECO), DeVry (DV)) and you see the same patterns of lower highs and lower lows. Even after its recent bounce off its 200 day MA, it’s most likely going to find resistance near its 50 day MA.

If you’re looking for an edge to play on the short side consider this sector. Observe that volume is declining and scaling in this week on market weakness, with stops at its 50 day MA, would be low risk with decent reward.

    BBBB!

Hey friend! I've been using blackboard since I wasn't old enough to drive a car. They are working on an Iphone app, I believe. Screen harder and then check the beta of BBBB and SnP since the crash. Ps gold is intensely levered in my brain...but I don't ditch the quad B's that led to a bunch of A's for myself. I enjoy hard work in interesting settings, try doing your stock screens in a coffee shop, it worked for me and the B's.

I have an odd idea that I might know Tyler Durden...or just really think I do.

Keep chillvesting! Get long, I think its the only way to always keep it fun!

    I think I meant:

Shorting stocks is inherently boring, because its not as hard as finding long term profits. It's easy to sell shorts with cynicism, however, I find it a lackluster lifestyle.

Ps. I'm even bored with the range trading, if you can't tell. Reality needs an up-trend or a downtrend in my own opinion.
