A powerful and riveting movie documentary will be launched to DVD on the stock manipulation of Sirius XM Radio (SIRI) on June 10, 2009. The Stock Shock movie interviews industry experts, journalists, stockholders, market managers, business professionals, and many more, telling the story of the stock manipulation and the individuals affected. Some that were interviewed for the documentary include Tyler Savery and Brandon Matthews of Sirius Buzz, Martin Rothblatt, Relmor, Michael Hartleib, and other shareholders of Sirius XM Radio.
The documentary will discuss the story of a stock that was manipulated down to .5 cents a share. When Sirius and XM Radio announced the merger of the two satellite radio giants in February of 2007 the press release read a "$13 Billion Merger of Equals". When Sirius XM Radio recently traded at .5 cents a share the company had an approximate market cap of 500 million dollars. 500 million dollars is a far cry from $13 billion dollars merger announcement in February of 2007. Today the company trades at a market cap of 1.9 billion dollars. The current company market cap is still far away from 13 billion dollars. A lot has happened since but the question we have to ask ourselves is will Sirius XM Radio become the 13 billion dollar company that was announced on February 19, 2007? We believe the answer to be optimistic.
Watch the trailer for the Stock Shock Movie here.
Our favorite part of the movie trailer is from Brandon Matthews. In the movie Brandon says, "Who was shorting the stock, who was accumulating the bonds, the record is clear!"
You can visit the Stock Shock website to pre-order a copy of the DVD

It looks exciting to me! I’m glad they made this movie the word needs to get out. I wish it was financed and aired on Frontline. I also wished it would have come out sooner. Not just because I’m a Sirius fan and stockholder but because the timing would even be better. If this story goes where I assume the trailer is taking me. Then this is not just about Sirius Xm it’s about the market and why the confidence in the market is waning. This really would help show the serious issues of the legal manipulators of Wallstreet. The rules need to change. People have invested their life’s work so they can someday retire or send their kids to college and so on. To let any type of manipulation of the market by the inner circle be condoned (or turn a blind eye for self serving purposes) by our legislators for the benefit of a few with out penalty is to say that capitalism doesn’t work. It started in Washington D.C. and can only be ended in Washington D.C. For the people by the people, I don’t think so! Follow the $ signs. It just takes to much damn money to run for any office and it’s out of control. If I want to be a congressman I need your vote but to get your vote I need money, lots of money. I’m going to have to kiss the ass of the big lobbyists to get it period. So I get their money to campaign to get your vote. If I get elected who am I beholding too, you? I’ll get back to you; I have to go meet someone in the lobby. Yep, I’m buying a DVD but I wish it could be circulated on a larger scale.

With that being said I hope this movie is not to take advantage of the fact that there are millions of Sirius Xm investors who will plunk down $15.95 to see & hear what we want (fluff). I hope this movie is done in a non-Hollywood fashion and more of a fact exposing documentary. I can only hope that is the case. If this movie targets Sirius Xm because it is such a widely held stock and to use it’s storey as the catalyst to show what’s wrong w/ Wallstreet in general then I think they (the producers) do more good for more people. If the movie does a good job of communicating that this is just one storey of many that shows the flawed ways of Wallstreet then is will serve the makers of this movie well too. Tunnel vision or a self serving movie to just what’s going on with Sirius Xm would be short sighted. If this movie can help expose as a whole what needs to be fixed then it helps all average investors. If that is the case then this movie can help send out a message for Washington to clean up the markets which in turn will bring more people back into the market which raises all boats including Sirius Xm.
