With a gain of 0.30% with less than an hour left in the trading day, the S&P 500 was on pace for just its third positive Monday of the year. So far in 2013, Mondays have been the only day of the week that the S&P 500 has averaged a decline (-0.32%). It is also nice to see that in the two weeks where Monday started off the week on an up note, the S&P 500 still saw gains for the remainder of the week. Outside of Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays have been the best day of the week for bulls, with average gains of 0.39% and 0.35%, respectively.
