Forward Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: FORD) was much higher Tuesday, the move being attributed to a short squeeze in the company's stock. Forward shares closed up $1.19 to $6.42 on nearly triple the average daily volume.

With a small share structure of 7.86 million outstanding and just 7.29 million in the public float, the short position of 1.77 million shares could warrant some lethal action for those investors holding short positions.

Forward is well poised to test the $6.50 intermediate top it made just days ago on this short covering second leg.
