A lot of folks over the last couple of days or weeks have been speculating over the Sirius XM Radio (SIRI) Q1 2009 conference call tomorrow morning. People have been wondering whether subscriber numbers have gone up or down and how the auto sale numbers affected the first quarter. Was it a growth quarter or not?

The reality is that for tomorrow's conference call, all Sirius XM Radio management team has to do is successfully sprinkle a few "buzz words" through out the conference call. Namely the iPhone (AAPL) buzz word. If Sirius XM Radio management team successfully does that on tomorrow’s conference call, the stock is heading upward.

The Sirius XM Radio iPhone application was announced on the previous Q4 2008 conference call to be released sometime in Q2. The application should be launched any day now. Any color provided by the management team on tomorrow’s conference call is a positive for the stock.

I'm not saying to ignore fundamentals, but for the most part fundamentals are improving and synergies are being gained. For Sirius XM Radio, commonly used "buzz words" is what's important for the short term.

Disclosure: Author holds a long position in SIRI

I just went over the metrics and again .30 seems to be the buy in point tommorrow. I'm being very liberal with a .30 point since I don't won't you to lose too much if, just in case, it slips to .25. Just be watching all day as to where the metrics level out. Now lets say the negative numbers aren't as good as how bad it could get. A good buy in point then would entertain my senses at .40. Sometimes the market doesn't act accordingly to negative numbers until the 2nd or 3rd day. I good tipping point is a .45 as then take profits again and go out and have a nice glass of wine.

    Good luck tomorrow bulls.

WCD you should probably cover your short position now, or the margin calls will be crippling.

I got my butt kicked with SIRI shortly after the merger last year. I've been tempted to get back in, but the shareholder approved reverse stock split late last year has me skiddish. Can one of you bulls give me your thoughts on if SIRI will eventually do a reverse split which will put a lot of pressure on the price? Did they table the reverse split altogether? I've been under the impression that aside from it's debt and links to the auto industry, SIRI share dilution due to the merger and Liberty financing will put a lot of future pressure on the price. Thoughts from anybody other than CD?

SIRI will not be under a buck for long. Never bet against Mel Karmazin. I started accumulating at .11 cents and bought more at .39 - long term high reward play here.

SIRI up a little in AH. Tomorrow will be the tell for what the near future holds. If SIRI shows a profit or shows a profitable guidance, watch out. Shorts will be toast and a short-covering rally will ensue.

FWIW, the 52-week high at $2.88 was almost exactly 1 year ago. would be nice to see that again. :-D

On the Siri front it seems some light wispers are surfacing indicating that Siri might have a slight uptick tommorrow. This wasn't the best source though. The other more dependable sources are still predicting a drop in price. It's too late to sell now but you might have a chance in the morning if is doesn't immediately dive.

Just good advice from honest Jay boy billy

Some light whispers? From where? Under your bed? The only whispering you listen to is the whispering of people saying you stink as they walk by you.
IPhone is a gimmick? Well that gimmick is going to add revenue to the company. So, I guess I like gimmicks. Kind of like how the XM app on the blackberry is #4 most downloaded. Now add around 500k subs from the Iphone...
    Metrics....
Go back and read his posts. You will see in an article further back I used the word, and hes been misusing ever since. Hes like 12 years old. Or hes 30, single, and lives in his moms basement. Makes 1.25 an hour to post bashing. Not bad... Not bad...
Buy at .30? LOL That chance has long sailed....
Try buy at .57 if your lucky to get in at that, and sell around .78. Just my opinion of course.Do your own due diligence.
