Palm (PALM) and its Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) mobile operating system forged a new relationship with Vodafone (NASDAQ:VOD) targeted at expanding the adoption of wireless push email in Europe. The new Treo smartphone will be available first to Vodafone customers in multiple European countries, including the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and Netherlands, before the end of the calendar year.

Friedman Billings says that weakness in Broadcom (BRCM) creates a buying opportunity, as they think the co will meet or slightly beat the high-end of its guidance on July 20, and they think the stock is attractively priced at 16x CY07 EPS.

However, firm continues to believe that September and December quarters look strong for Mac shipments, deriving strength from iPod+iTunes platform, Vista delays, continued retail expansion, and Boot Camp helping to attract new customers to Apple.
