Stocks discussed on the lightning round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Friday May 8.

Bullish Calls:

Scientific Games (SGMS): "It does has a hammerlock on lotteries. I think lotteries are a terrific, terrific business. It's come down dramatically, and I want to buy the stock... buy, buy, buy!"

Qualcomm (QCOM): "I say buy QCOM before its earnings accelerate. It's got a great deal with Nokia, it's solving its legal problems with Broadcom, The business is strong, it's got 4G coming. I think QualComm is a screaming buy!"

ON Semiconductor (ONNN): "I think that's better than Sigma... They just reported a quarter, and the quarter was knockout.

Fuel Systems Solutions (FSYS): "I know this is going to seem a little counte- intuitive, but it's going to be up again on Monday, because people weren't even focused on it. It was up $5, but it's got further to run...don't wait for a pullback."

First Solar (FSLR): "I know First Solar is up 50 straight points. I frankly don't care. I think First Solar had a remarkable quarter...I say stay long."

Bearish Calls:

GigaMedia (GIGM): "I do not recommend individual Chinese stocks on this show, because they do not make us money, and they've betrayed us on another date."

Novartis (NVS): "No. I have really, really eliminated most of the drug stocks I talk about, unless they have a dramatically-high yield."

Sigma Design (SIGM)

Agilent Technologies (A): "It has been a terrible stock. It has now ramped dramatically. It is catching up with a lot of other companies. I'm going to have to say, don't buy, dont' buy... After that huge ramp, I need a bit of a pullback."

Interpublic Group (IPG): "I think IPG is going to be a very, very late player in this game. It's come back nicely, but I want to sell it...advertising is not turning around."

Smith & Wesson (SWHC): "We had a double We left it. We never looked back...don't buy."

Yingle Green (YGE): "Stay away from individual Chinese stocks."

Stay away from individual Chinese stocks because Cramer has once been "betrayed"? So typically Cramer! I was "betrayed" by the first Chinese stock I ever owned, but I'm up more than 40% ytd largely thanks to my diversified holdings of "individual Chinese stocks"; I did not let one "betrayal" keep me from exploiting other truly amazing opportunities.

Ok, so why the animosity towards Cramer...I am not a big fan, I think he is a bit of a loud mouth, and his comments in many cases are superficial -- but at least he says what's on his mind - in relatively clear language -- without the mumbo jumbo and pevarications of other so called pundits!

Cramer seems to think FSLR alone will supply the world demand for solar panels. Where will their competitive edge come from when the price of silicon cells keeps falling? And how well will they compete with thin film products from Nanosolar, Heliovolt and others?
