Oh my, the spinmeisters are out this morning:
Liddy, who was only being paid $1 a year, will not receive a severance package. "One reason I did this for $1 a year was because it was not a permanent position," he added.
Uh huh.
Liddy took over in September and is leaving "now" (or something close to now.) AIG has funnelled more than $10 billion of taxpayer funds to Goldman Sachs (GS).
Here is a chart of Goldman's stock price from September to today:
Two questions:
- How many shares of Goldman Sachs does Liddy own?
- What would Goldman's stock price be today if Liddy had not "guided" AIG through being used as a conduit to funnel $10 billion dollars of taxpayer money to Goldman Sachs?
He took a $1 salary and will take no severance as a "public service" eh?
My, aren't you gullible America - and Congress.
