Sirius XM’s (SIRI) annual shareholders meeting will take place Wednesday. Investors are anxiously waiting for news on the long awaited partnership with Apple (AAPL) and any details that will be forthcoming.
Up until now, speculation has been that Sirius XM would wait until early June to introduce its new iPhone and iPod application. Investors need wait no more, for the day is finally here!
One of the newest and most popular Sirius XM Radio channels is Doctor Radio which can be heard 24 hours a day/7 days a week on Sirius and XM.
An alert Satwaves reader has sent in this link which links to Apple’s iTunes store. The application is described as:
‘Reach MD Medical Radio delivers world class medical content directly from Reach MD, the leader in medical education and information for medical professionals. All of the programming is broadcast on their exclusive Sirius XM channel 160…”
The application offers listeners the ability to listen to a live stream of EXCLUSIVE content (a point Satwaves has been driving for weeks now) and access to over 5000 podcasts as well.
What is most interesting is that this application seems to not be part of a single Sirius XM application, but rather as exclusive content to Apple!
Is this a sign of things to come? This one application signals a larger scale partnership with Apple rather than a simple iPhone application that has been speculated. Sirius investors may need a doctor from the shock they may be about to experience.

All you have to do is read the "Postion: Long SIRI" to understand why this article is so biased towards SIRI. I don't understand how Seeking Alpha can even be remotely considered a legitimate place to get financial news (at least about SIRI). All of the SIRI articles are massively biased. What they do should be illegal.
I am a big satrad fan and hope S-XM succeeds. However, you have to be blind not to see that any SIRI article from Seeking Alpha is completely void of any usefly information or insight.

People dont want satellite radio.
I agree, I think he is trying to short sell, so he bashes the stock trying to drive the price down. If he is not invested, then why does he care what others think or if they invest. I'm in for the long term.

This will happen when a commercial tier of satellite service is made available to the public for free, and always free, just as terrestrial radio is. The programming on that tier must be of a high quality and variety to serve as an alternative to radio available in most terrestrial markets. Satellite news can be specially designed to satisfy to some degree, the hard-to duplicate local news of the terrestrial radio markets. This free service would draw new customers from the the huge pool of potential listeners who will install new SAT+FM+AM (+CD) receivers instead of simple FM AM(+CD) radios. The free tier would also carry advertising that promoted the quality and variety available to them at special intro subscrition rates, and thus serve to continually offer attractive subscription packages to people listening on the free tier. The free tier of programming only need be of slightly better quality and variety but with fewer commercial breaks than terrestrial radio to convey something of the experience of satellite listening.
This is their natural marketing path to drawing the customers necessary to survive. This service could work in conjunction with free trials offered to new vehicle owners. I believe this approach has always been needed and musty be in place as an incentive to bring terrestrial radio listeners a step closer to the quality and variety available on satellite.

All I am saying that these blog sites are not selling anyone especially the investor because if that was true like I said this stock would of been a 1.00 already / I only am sold when real articles come out from Dow Jones reports and other true to fact reports as well

At Sirius XM's last meeting, shareholders approved measures that allowed it to raise the number of shares outstanding from 4.5 billion shares to 8 billion shares. Shareholders also approved an amendment that permitted the board of directors to initiate a reverse stock split by a ratio of not less than 1-for-10 and not more than 1-for-50.
General Motors (GM Quote) will also be closely watched as the deadline for a GM bankruptcy filing nears. On Tuesday, shares rebounded sharply after several positive headlines for the company, including reports that the United Auto Workers union will own 17.5% of the automaker under an agreement that has been reached.
However, bondholders face a midnight deadline for an offer of a 10% stake in the restructured automaker in return for their $27 billion in debt. CNBC reported that the number of bondholders likely to accept was in the single digits, well below the 90% required for the deal to happen. If the offer is not accepted and the deadline is not extended, GM could file for bankruptcy court protection in the next few days.
double could be positive for Siri stock
