Microsoft to Acquire Technology To Speed Patient Data to Doctors
- Summary: Microsoft (MSFT) said it would purchase healthcare software technology called Azyxxi, for an undisclosed amount. Azyxxi, which was developed by three physicians, gives doctors instant access to patient data, including X-rays and other diagnostic scans located at far away healthcare facilities. Microsoft will hire software creators Dr. Feied and Fidrik Iskandar, along with about 40 workers from its development team as part of the purchase agreement.
