Note: The Hitwise data featured is based on US market share of visits as defined by the IAB, which is the percentage of online traffic to the domain or category, from the Hitwise sample of 10 million US internet users. Hitwise measures more than 1 million unique websites on a daily basis, including sub-domains of larger websites. Hitwise categorizes websites into industries on the basis of subject matter and content, as well as market orientation and competitive context. The market share of visits percentage does not include traffic for all sub-domains of certain websites that could be reported on separately.

Totally agree tha Yahoo has a great financial website.
I'd also like to share another that I tap on to frequently...and that is
Marketwatch.com....Then go to the bottom right and click inot its
"Virtual Stock Exchange" an excellent gauge for where the stocks
are heading and which stocks are the biggest movers of the day.
Another is Tickerspy.com which I find to be helpful too.

I am quite surprised that some other premier finance websites are not on the list such as Bloomberg, Marketwatch, and WSJ are not listed. I find it hard to belief that none of these three managed to achieve 2.5% market share last month.

Another great site is the Motley Fool. Their financial statement presentation and stats have saved me countless hours.

I am not supprised at all; six of the 10 listed are retail brokerage firms (i do wonder why are people visting those sites). Bloomberg, CNBC, WSJ (and Marketwatch same site) are dedicated news sites, why should anyone want to listen or read anymore financial news ... lol. Yahoo. is my home page, i am guessing the same for most people, and boy do they get alot of traffic. I am reconsidering my investment thesis on Yahoo. gooo yaaahhoooo.
