Cramer's Lightning Round - One Step for MannKind, A Giant Leap for Gilead (9/14/09)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the lightning round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Tuesday July 14.

Bullish Calls:

MannKind (NASDAQ:MNKD), Gilead Sciences (NASDAQ:GILD): "This company has a lot of drugs in trials right now. It's speculative. I like Gilead Sciences better. I'd rather see you in that one."

FPL Group (FPL-OLD), Consolidated Edison (NYSE:ED), Exelon (NYSE:EXC): "I'm more partial to Consolidated Edison and Exelon, but I'm not going to discourage Florida Power right here."

Progress Energy (PGL), Dominion Resources (NYSE:D): "I think this one is terrific. But I think you could swap out of that one for Dominion Resources, which is even better."

Bearish Calls:

Tortoise Energy Infrastructure (NYSE:TYG): "I don't want you to be there. I think there are a lot of better places to go. Oil's still coming down and you don't want to be levered to oil."

Dolby Labs (NYSE:DLB): "I think that's last year's stock. I'm not going to bless that stock."
