Stocks discussed on the lightning round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Wednesday July 15.

Bullish Calls:

China Unicom (CHU): "You know I do not recommend any individual Chinese stocks on the show, other than CHU. because they are going to be one of the big suppliers of the iPhone in China, which I think is going to be huge... and, do not forget, there's a lot of people in China!"

Altria (MO): "I think you have to go with Altria. It's starting to make a move. It had a great quarter. It bought U.S. Tobacco, so it's going to have growth from snuff. That's your play."

Peabody Energy (BTU): "We don't like coal on this show because President Obama seems to be not that big a fan of coal... Peabody is the play for this situation."

Allos Therapeutic (ALTH): "I think you've got horse sense. It's a speculative situation. I think that's the right place to be. Even congress, under commissar Pelosi... has blessed biotech."

TEPPCO Partners (TPP): "Teppco is in merger...Yes, and you've got a very good one."

AT&T (T): "I like the yield. I think it's safe... if there's any pickup in the enterprise corporate business, AT&T will be good. I reiterate my buy. I also reiterate that I have been wrong on AT&T... but I've been wrong about it being the right place to be in this market..."

Bearish Calls:

A-Power Energy (APWR): "You know, I think they're good... I wish I knew more about the Chinese market. You know I do not recommend any individual Chinese stocks on the show, other than China Unicom."

Reynolds American (RAI): " I don't want to mess with an inferior-quality company like Reynolds American. Make that move."

Tata Motors (TTM): "No. Ta Ta for now... Sell, sell, sell! We are not buyers of any, any automobile stock."

Patriot Coal (PCX)

Toll Brothers (TOL): "I do not want to buy the homebuilders."

Tim Hortons (THI): "It happens to be one of the great doughnut plays...I now feel like I'm too late. I am not going to pull the trigger on Tim Horton... don't buy, don't buy."

what's this guy on mind altering drugs? i like the guy but to make such sweeping generalizations about one of the key sectors of the world economy is , well, lazy.

TTM already, e.g., has deposits for 200,000--yes, 200, 000 of it's landmark NANO car which, across the board and world ,has had nothing but stellar reviews. Those cars are to be taken next month.
Gets 55MPG; seats 4 and is about to hit other markets other than India in late 2009.

In the US coming in 2011.

    Hello. Cramer.

I dunno, tresspass. TTM is still having some productions issues with the Nano, since they weren't able to build the greenfield plant for, because of local opposition. They're bleeding money from their purchase of Jaguar and Land Rover.

Regarding bringing the Nano here, in 2011....wouldn't bet on it...depends on how much re-engineering they'll need to do to pass US emmisions and safety regs. After all, the car WAS designed specifically for the emerging markets. If it sells even tolerably well in those markets, TTM will have its hands full meeting the demand, without taking on the task of tackling the US market.

Btw, I used to own TTM, and may own it again, at some future point.

APWR is one chinese stock that should be recommended. Other than reporting and correctly timed news releases they are a company primed to grab huge market share in the chinese and global market. GE has already invested in them and they can bring to the table the knowledge of market utilization and backup funding to accelerate their business. I think we shall see this stock @ $30+ by 2011 if not sooner. They are a fresh Nasdaq company who needs to know where and when to allocate the funding and money they have on hand to best suite its investors and keep the stock interesting instead of the up and down swings they have from Q to Q.

APWR is an interesting company rife with possibilities. The playful day traders/shorts will have less fun when the company begins to show what it can really do over the next 12 months. How will it be priced when it makes $2.50-3.00/share or more in the 12 month period from 4th quarter 2010 thought 3rd quarter 2011?

Not only will APWR report considerably higher earnings but investors will pay 15 or more times earnings as confidence is returned in the market and heavy investments in green companies will create a foot hold for several years to come.
