With the Nasdaq now up 9 days in a row and the Dow up 6 days in a row, lots of individual stocks have put together solid winning streaks as well. In fact, 236 stocks in the Russell 1,000 are up 5 days in a row or more, and 71 are up at least 8 days in a row.

Below we highlight the stocks that are up at least 8 days in a row. Lots of big names are on the list including IP, SLB, WFMI, CSCO, GLW, TXN, INTC, SNDK, and YHOO. With futures up again this morning, we're likely to see a number of stocks with double-digit winning streaks by the end of the day.

If you're a short-term investor sitting on 8 or 9 straight days of gains for a portfolio holding, you should have a very good reason for not taking at least some profits at this point. That way you won't regret not selling if the stock does see a pullback in the coming days.

Great info. Noticed that 5 in the list are Railroads. Of those only CSX has announced earning and reported fairly good numbers considering the market overall. Good idea to take a profit on a 9 day run but I believe BNI and UNP announcing on the 23rd will set an even better stage for the best (expected) performer KSU- which announces on July 30. If BNI and UNP show anything better than horrible, KSU's numbers should go through the roof considering thier carloads are only expecting a 9% decrease compared to the other 3 in the teens and 20's % decreases--all the while still remaing profitable... Hold KSU. Play BNI, watch UNP.
    PEACE.

Got into ATW at $24.00 a few weeks ago. Nice ride so far. I also like DO, ESV, NE and CVX as oil plays....would wait for pullback though.

I bought a lot of ATW at $13's....been riding ever since. I also bought a lot of TCK in the $4's and thats doing well.

Been looking for a big pullback in NG producers....hopefully we get one....and i will buy some small exploration companies for the long term. Especially those who may be sitting on large NG reserves that just need to be proved up....as long as they don't go bankrupt....lots of money is to be made.
