It is no accident that the soaring performance of The Madison Square Garden Company's (MSG) stock directly coincides with the New York Knicks' best season in well over a decade. In the 2012-13 NBA season, the Knicks won the Atlantic Division for the first time since 1993-94, won their first playoff series since 2000, and superstar Carmelo Anthony won the scoring title.
