Vera Bradley (NASDAQ:VRA) is a consumer goods company that designs, produces, markets and retails accessories for women. Among the company's products are handbags, technology and fashion accessories and travel accessories. Since being founded in 1982, the 2,400 employee company has transitioned into a multi-channel retail model that is providing significant growth and profitability. In addition to expanding into selling its wares on its own website, the company has begun to open retail locations and the experiment is proving quite successful.
