Mellanox: Intel Integration Threat Unlikely To Manifest Itself Over Next Four Years

I, among others, have been bearish on shares of Mellanox (NASDAQ:MLNX) as it has been widely perceived that Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) would likely go about a large scale integration of the InfiniBand interface onto its high end Xeon processors in the CY2015 timeframe. I believe that such fears are - in light of recent evidence - overblown and that Mellanox's primary threat comes from discrete Infiniband adapters and switches from Intel, rather than from integration that would ultimately leave Mellanox unable to compete. While such integration is likely, I do not expect it to be launched in the next major Intel server platform, and as a result, I expect integration of Infiniband to come much later than...
