Bullish calls:
Fluor (FLR): 'This stock is down $4. I think the conference call is going to tell all. I think those who are selling it ought to just take a break. The infrastructure story is alive and well.'
McDermott (MDR)
Corning (GLW): ' ... having realized that the inventory of big screen TVs would somehow drop, which apparently it has; that's enough for me to pull the trigger on GLW.'
Qwest Communications (Q): 'the king of speculation!'
Microsoft (MSFT) :'I would buy this stock at $23.50 - that's where I'd pull the trigger.'
Kimberly-Clark (KMB): ' KMB is making its move! I see $61 going to $65.'
Procter & Gamble (PG): 'PG reported a dynamite quarter.'
Accenture (ACN): ' Kind of a slow snail that finally gets there; I'll go bullish on that. Don't forget, they're a huge outsourcer to India...'
American Capital (ACAS): ' ... a seasoned outfit, ACAS, which has a 9% yield ... Malon Wilkus, who runs that place, has been doing it forever. '
Aqua America (WTR)
Sirius Satellite Radio (SIRI): 'I am perplexed. I think it should be at $4.20. If he merged with XMSR, you'd have a $9 stock.'
South Financial Group (TSFG): 'That stock sells below 2x book. That means I like it when it's a financial.'
T. Rowe Price Group (TROW): ' Big beneficiary; helped write an act that gave everybody in the pension business a lot of money; I love TROW. Two thumbs up.'
Oracle (ORCL)
Bearish calls:
Marvell Technology (MRVL): 'I have been afraid to pull the trigger. I did have the call to sell it at split-adjusted $53. Why won't I pull the trigger now? Because, frankly, this group is in such a bear market ... that I am afraid of hurting you.'
3M (MMM): 'Now enough on MMM, because that quarter was so horrible, that I can't even get my considerably buffed-up arms around it...'
Cincinnati Bell (CBB): 'No, my friend. It just had a little bit of a run.'
Comtech (COGO): 'Communications and telecom? They are really not where you want to be.'
MCG Capital (MCGC)
Lucent (LU): 'This is the Jack the Ripper meets the Skidrow Strangler meets the Ted Bundy, which is then combined with Lizzie Borden and, in the end, it is still destroying your capital, even as I talk!'
Midway Games (MWY)
Akamai Technologies (AKAM): 'I need you to take some off the table - sell, sell, sell! - AKAM's up way too much!'
Emageon (EMAG)
