FormFactor And The Changing Chip Market

The share price of FormFactor (NASDAQ:FORM) has taken a beating since it was trading in the lofty area of $46.00 to $47.00 a share in 2006 and 2007, to just under $7.00 a share as I write.

Since August, 2010, it has been rangebound between $4.00 and $10.00 a share, and since January, 2012, between $4.00 and $6.00 a share.

FormFactor, Inc. primarily sells and supports semiconductor wafer probe card products and solutions for semiconductor manufacturers. The wafer probe cards "are used on the front-end of the semiconductor manufacturing process to perform sort and test on the semiconductor die, or chips, on a semiconductor wafer."

Among the products tested are a variety of dynamic random access memory (DRAM)...
