Chemed Corporation: Watch This One For A Chance At A Great Spin-Off

If you have been following my articles you will notice I am often attracted to companies that own other companies. Better still, companies with subsidiaries operating in wholly different sectors of the economy, providing the parent with a degree of insulation against sector-based volatility and investors with the potential for a latent value realizing event.

Spin-off candidates are good to watch because of the potential for hidden value being unlocked either voluntarily by the companies themselves through a divestiture or distribution by means of activist involvement.
